We Are Xi (UK) was preparing a global SunTags activation across four simultaneous cities — Buenos Aires, London, Cape Town and Tokyo — and chose us as their team in Argentina, with Grey managing the end client. DER handled location scouting, local production budgets, the design and fabrication of urban furniture, and permits. The project did not move forward, by client decision, with no responsibility on DER.

Data-driven location scouting

We surveyed 11+ areas of Buenos Aires analyzing shade, sun and foot traffic with ShadeMap, to propose the best public-space locations.

Custom urban furniture

Design and fabrication of the pieces coordinated with Illusion DC (UK), built to take over the street.

Permits and chemistry with Grey

Coordination with the City of Buenos Aires to intervene public space, and a presentation to Grey, the end client's global agency.
