The Guatemala International Book Fair draws nearly 100,000 people in under two weeks. DER ran access control for the XXII edition at Forum Majadas without setting foot in Guatemala: we configured the system, hired and trained the local team, and monitored the 13 days from Buenos Aires. Thirteen straight days of people coming in, without a single queue getting out of hand.

01

Remote operation, total control

We set up and ran the entire access system from Argentina, with a live dashboard of every door. Distance did not change the standard: the same control as if we were on site.

02

Local team, coordinated by us

We hired and trained the Guatemalan staff, who operated on the floor with our protocol and our ongoing support behind them.

03

Real-time metrics

Entries by door, peak times and occupancy, all measured live to make decisions on the go across the 13 days.

04

Final report with the numbers

At the close we delivered the full report: public flow, entry peaks and learnings for the next edition.

We operated a 90,000-person event from 7,000 km away. Scale isn’t the limit: operation is, and that we control.
